Cabin FAQ’s
What are the food and dining options?
Our Nature Cabins don't have a kitchen or cooking facilities, but there is a (very) small fridge for milk. We
suggest bringing a *picnic or dining at the Courtyard Bar or The Farm Caff. We're open for breakfast,
lunch and dinner Thurs - Sun.
Nearby towns like Castle Cary and Bruton offer great cafés, restaurants, and farmers' markets. Don't
forget to check our events page when booking - we often host guest chef supper clubs.
*Picnics are allowed at your cabin only.
What family-friendly activities do you have?
Families are welcome to explore the farm using the map provided in your cabin. Kids can enjoy the
climbing frame, meet our friendly animals, and swim in the lake.
Inside the cabin, you'll find bird and wildlife guides, sketch pads, and a few books. We recommend
bringing extra games if rain is forecast.
For families of three or more, we recommend booking both cabins for extra space and comfort.
Do I need to pay for the sauna, lake or farmtivities?
Exploring the farm, wild swimming, and boating on the lake are free for all guests. Ticketed events are available at an additional cost.
To use the sauna during your stay, please book directly through their website.
Do you have wifi and can I work from the cabins?
There's no Wi-Fi in our Nature Cabins, but 4G/5G signal is available on most networks. If you're on a 'work
away' trip, you're welcome to use The Farm Caff or Courtyard Bar for internet access.
Each cabin has a small writer's desk, and we're sure the farm will offer plenty of inspiration from the wood wide web.
Do I need a car?
To make the most of your stay, we recommend having a car to explore the local area.
If you're travelling without one, we're easily reached by train and taxi. Castle Cary station is just 5 minutes away. We recommend bookings taxis in advance. There is no Uber in the area.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, we welcome up to two well-behaved dogs. Please bring their own bedding, bowls, and towels. Owners are responsible for any damage.
For the safety of our livestock and the comfort of other guests, dogs must be kept on a short lead around sheep, geese, ducks, goats, pigs, and horses.
There are plenty of lovely local walks, and dogs are welcome at the Courtyard Bar and The Farm Caff.
