HIGHER FARM REGENERATION CHARITY

We believe that regenerating farmland is the single most powerful thing we can do to fix both the environmental and the health crisis our world is facing today.

Industrial farmland occupies 70% of the UK’s landmass; what were once abundant forests and ecosystems, are now degraded, chemical monocultures.

However, food forests like those we have demonstrated at Higher Farm, are paving a regenerative way, where healthy, biodiverse ecosystems are producing just as much, if not more food than industrial ones.

Whilst many farmers are interested in regenerative methods, they struggle to transition because they do not have the funding or the know-how to begin. So we decided to create a charity that fully funds and supports farmers to restore nature, eliminate chemicals and plant trees within their farming systems.

What we do

Our charity funds and supports farmers to transition into natural and regenerative methods, specifically through food forest implementation. The funds we give to farmers are used for:

  1. Tree row planting for food forest establishment
  2. Soil health amendments in order to fully eliminate chemicals.
  3. Crop insurance for three years to give farmers a secure transition period

We also use funds to assign consultants to help farmers with learning and implementation over a three year period.

Funding, Donations

We donate as muc has we can from our Ketchup sales every year. We also pay for our team to do all the organisation and management of the charity, reducing the costs and meaning all the money raised can go directly towards farmers. You can donate here, or through buying our ketchup you will also be supporting the charity.
